Sport Organization Combining, Culture Education and Recreation

Arise Community Development Projects

Arise was established in 2007 with its main objective to alleviate unemployment within poorer communities. Arise launched its program in Manenberg in 2007 and spread out to 16 different communities. In 2010 Arise was registered as an NPO.

Arise broadened its focus to two additional sectors in order to provide holistic services to the communities that they serve.

Arise is divided into 3 focus areas.

  1. Youth Development through education and sport
  2. Education
  3. Poverty alleviation

Our aim is to maximize the opportunity for learners to face the challenges of their everyday lives by using Football and Education as a platform for young people to achieve their educational and professional goals.

Small Business Governance Training

Whilst NGO’s are doing exceptional work within their respective communities many of them lack the skills to govern the organisation properly. This can result in huge financial losses as well as incapacitation to secure valuable funding. Additionally mismanagement and lack of financial controls causes huge internal problems. Arise assists Community Organisations to implement sound governance practices within their Organisation
